The Vietnamese delegation visits the tomb of National Leader Heydar Aliyev and the Alley of Martyrs

At the invitation of the State Statistical Committee of the Republic of Azerbaijan, a delegation led by Nguyen Thi Huong, Director General of the General Statistics Office of the Socialist Republic of Viet Nam, arrived in our country.

As part of the visit, on December 17, the leadership of the State Statistical Committee and the Vietnamese delegation paid their respects to the memory of National Leader Heydar Aliyev, the founder of the modern independent state of Azerbaijani, at the Alley of Honor. They laid wreaths and bouquets of flowers at his tomb.

The memory of the prominent ophthalmologist, academician Zarifa Aliyeva was also honored, and fresh flowers were placed on her grave.

Following this, the delegation visited the Alley of Martyrs, commemorating the heroic sons of the homeland who sacrificed their lives for Azerbaijan’s freedom, independence, and territorial integrity. Fresh flowers were placed on their graves, and a wreath was laid at the “Eternal Flame” memorial.
