Changes in prices of consumer market

Consumer price index in December 2024 compared to December 2023 became 104,9% including food products, beverages and tobacco products 105,5%, non-food products 102,4% and paid services provided to population 106,3%.

In December 2024, the consumer price index was 101,0% compared to the previous month and in January-December – 102,2% compared to corresponding period of the previous year.  

In December 2024, consumer price index for food products, beverages and tobacco products became 102,0% in comparison with the previous month and in January-December – 101,3% in comparison with corresponding period of the previous year.

In December 2024 compared to the previous month, more increase was observed in the prices of long and round rice, beef and mutton, fish and fish products, milk, yoghurt, curd, eggs, table margarine, butter, sunflower and corn oils, apple, quince, pomegranate, grape, walnuts, nuts, chestnut, greens, tomato, cucumber, sweet pepper, garlic, onion, potato, black and green tea, while the decrease was observed in the prices of buckwheat, lemon, orange, tangerine, table beet, carrot. There have been no significant changes in the prices of other food products.

In December 2024, consumer price index for non-food products made 100,2% compared to the previous month and in January-December – 101,6% compared to corresponding period of the previous year. In December, in comparison with the previous month, an increase was observed in prices of non-food products such as household items, personal hygiene products, while decrease was observed in prices of cut wood, orthopaedic mattress, personal computer and notebooks. There have been no significant changes in the prices of other non-food products.

In August 2024, consumer price index for paid services provided to population was 100,3% compared to the previous month and in January-December – 104,0% compared to the corresponding period of the previous year. In December, compared to previous month, an increase was mainly observed in the prices of paid services provided to population such as dental services, catering services by restaurants and cafes, international passenger air transportation services. There have been no significant changes in the prices of other paid services.
