Changes in prices of consumer market

Consumer price index in October 2024 compared to October 2023 became 103,4%, including food products, beverages and tobacco products 102,6%, non-food products 102,1% and paid services provided to population 105,8%.

In October 2024, the consumer price index was 100,3% compared to the previous month and in January-October – 101,7% compared to the corresponding period of the previous year.

In October 2024, consumer price index for food products, beverages and tobacco products became 100,5% in comparison with the previous month and in January-October – 100,6% in comparison with corresponding period of the previous year.

In October of the current year compared to the previous month, more increase was observed in prices of several food products such as long and round rice, beef and mutton, sausage products, sour cream, yoghurt, cheese, butter, eggs, grape, white cabbage, tomato, sweet pepper, eggplant, carrot, garlic, onion, potato while the decrease was observed in the prices of flour, buckwheat, macaroni products, margarine, corn oil, lemon, tangerine, apple, quince, pomegranate, kiwi, cucumber, green bean, pumpkin, sugar powder. No significant changes were observed in prices of other food products.

In October 2024, consumer price index for non-food products made 100,3% compared to the previous month, while in January-October was 101,5% compared to the corresponding period of the previous year. In October compared to the previous month, more increase in prices of non-food products was mainly observed in the prices of carpets, construction materials, jewelry products. No significant changes were observed in prices of other non-food products.

In October 2024, consumer price index for paid services provided to population was 100,1% compared to the previous month, while in January-October was 103,6% compared to the corresponding period of the previous year. In October compared to the previous month, increasing in prices of paid services provided to population was mainly observed in the prices of apartment rental fees, international passenger transportation to CIS countries by air transport while decreasing was observed in prices of international passenger services by air transport to other countries except CIS countries. No significant changes were observed in prices of other paid services.
