Changes in prices of consumer market

Consumer price index in January 2025 compared to January 2024 became 105,4%, including food products, beverages and tobacco products 105,0%, non-food products 102,6% and paid services provided to population 108,4%.

In January 2025, the consumer price index was 101,0% compared to the previous month.

In January 2025, consumer price index for food products, beverages and tobacco products became 100,6% in comparison with the previous month.

In January of the current year compared to the previous month, more increase was observed in prices of several food products such as fish products, infant formula powder, butter, sunflower and corn oils, table margarine, tangerine, apple, pear, quince, pomegranate, plum, kiwi, walnuts, nuts, chestnut, white cabbage, greens, cucumber, sweet pepper, pumpkin, garlic, onion, potato, while the decrease was mainly observed in the prices of pasta, fresh fish, eggs, orange, banana, carrot. There have been no significant changes in the prices of other food products.

In January 2025, consumer price index for non-food products made 100,3% compared to the previous month. In January, in comparison with the previous month, an increase was observed in prices of non-food products such as bricks, watercolor paints, cotton fabrics, chandeliers, jewellery, while decrease was in prices of cut wood, laminate parquet, writing paper. No significant changes were noticed in prices of other non-food products.

In January 2025, consumer price index for paid services provided to population was 102,0% compared to the previous month. In January, compared to previous month, an increase was observed in prices of paid services provided to population such as heating, electric energy, natural gas supply and renting apartments, while decrease was observed in prices of passenger air transportation services. No significant changes were observed in prices of other paid services.
