Changes in prices of consumer market
Consumer price index in February 2025 compared to February 2024 became 105,5%, including food products, beverages and tobacco products 105,7%, non-food products 102,7% and paid services provided to population 107,4%.
In February 2025, the consumer price index was 100,7% compared to the previous month and in January-February – 105,4% compared to corresponding period of the previous year.
In February 2025, consumer price index for food products, beverages and tobacco products became 101,4% in comparison with the previous month and in January-February – 105,3% in comparison with corresponding period of the previous year.
In February of the current year compared to the previous month, more increase was observed in prices of several food products such as bread, pasta, oat groats, sausage products, infant formula powder, table margarine, butter, sunflower and corn oils, lemon, orange, tangerine, apple, pear, quince, walnuts, nuts, cabbage, cucumber, tomato, pumpkin, garlic, onion, potato, black and green tea, chocolate products, fruit juices, while the decrease was mainly observed in the prices of beef, unpasteurized whole milk, eggs, greens, broccoli, sweet pepper. There have been no significant changes in the prices of other food products.
In February 2025, consumer price index for non-food products made 100,2% compared to the previous month, and in January-February – 102,7% compared to the corresponding period of the previous year. In February, in comparison with the previous month, an increase was observed in prices of non-food products such as bricks, cement, soft furniture, jewellery, while decrease was in prices of winter, clothes, cut wood, parquet, writing paper. No significant changes were noticed in prices of other non-food products.
In February 2025, consumer price index for paid services provided to population was 100,2% compared to the previous month, and in January-February – 107,9 compared to the corresponding period of the previous year. In February, compared to previous month, an increase was mainly observed in prices of paid services provided to population such as chemical cleaning of clothes, photo studio and medical services, while decrease was observed in prices of rest tours and passenger air transportation services. No significant changes were observed in prices of other paid services.
