The 73rd plenary session of the Conference of European Statisticians is being held

The 73rd plenary session of the Conference of European Statisticians, organized by the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe, is taking place on 16–18 June 2025 in Geneva, Switzerland. Mr. Vahab Mammadov, First Deputy Chairman of the State Statistical Committee of the Republic of Azerbaijan, is representing our country at the event.

The Conference has served as a platform for coordination of international statistical work, addressing emerging issues, and developing methodological guidelines and recommendations aimed at improving national statistics and their international comparability. During the plenary session, seminars have been held on topics such as the misuse of data and measures against disinformation, as well as changes and innovations in survey-taking. Within the framework of the event, the work of the High-level Group for the Modernisation of Official Statistics has been reviewed, strategic directions in the work of statistical offfices, experiences in providing statistical data for the Sustainable Development Goals, ageing-related statistics, migration, along with other current issues, have also been discussed.
