Taking into account resources for the beginning of the current year the volume of marketable natural gas resources in January-June 2025 made 21613,1 million cubic meters. 29,3% of the resources was consumed, 58,7% - exported, 2,4% - losses and 9,6% remained as resource for the beginning of July. 59,2% of natural gas consumed within the country was used for production needs and 40,8% sold to population. In January-June 2025 12682,1 million cubic meters or compared to corresponding period of 2024 3,0% less natural gas was exported. 2584,8 million cubic meters or compered to corresponding period of the previous year 6,8% more natural gas was consumed by population, of which 36,8% was per the share of Baku city, 3,2% - Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, 11,6% - Absheron-Khizi, 6,1% - Ganja-Dashkesen, 6,0% - Lankaran-Astara, 5,8% - Gazakh-Tovuz, 5,7% Central Aran, 5,3% - Shaki-Zagatala, 4,9% - Guba-Khachmaz, 4,7% - Karabakh, 3,8% - Mil-Mughan, 3,6% - Shirvan-Salyan, 2,4% - Daghlig Shirvan and 0,1% East Zangezur economic regions.
