According to the State Border Service data, in January-July 2025 the Republic of Azerbaijan received 1477.9 thousand or 1.7 percent less foreigners and stateless persons from 182 countries of the world compared to the corresponding period of the previous year. 26.1% of the arrivals were from the Russian Federation, 17.1% – Türkiye, 8.1% – India, 7.9% – Iran, 4.2% – Saudi Arabia, 4.1% – Georgia, 4.0% – Kazakhstan, 3.2% – Pakistan, 2.3% - China, per 2.0% - Israel and Uzbekistan, 1.8% - United Arab Emirates, 1.4% - Ukraine, 1.3% – Turkmenistan, per 1.0% - Belarus and Kuwait, 12.5% – were citizens of other countries. 66.5% of the arrivals were men and 33.5% were women. In comparison with the same period of the previous year, the number of arrivals from Tajikistan increased by 1.9- fold, Israel 1.7-fold, China – 1.6-fold, Japan – 42.9%, Kyrgyzstan – 36.0%, Jordan – 28.7%, Kazakhstan – 20.6%, Uzbekistan – 19.8%, the Netherlands – 16.3%, Pakistan – 16.1%, Canada – 15.8%, USA – 15.6%, Germany – 13.2%, Italy – 10.9%, South Korea – 10.8%. Compared to January-July 2024, the number of arrivals from EU member countries increased by 7,0 percent and amounted to 61,0 thousand persons, from Gulf countries decreased by 8,3% percent and amounted to 237,4 thousand persons, from the CIS countries - by 6,0% and amounted to 522,7 thousand persons, and arrivals from other countries increased by 4,1%, reaching to 656,8 thousand persons. 75,5% of foreigners and stateless persons arriving in our country used air transport, 23,1% - railway and car, and 1,4% - sea transport. The total number of citizens of the Republic of Azerbaijan going abroad decreased by 2,8% compared to JanuaryJuly 2024 and amounted to 1188,9 thousand persons. The number of citizens of the Republic of Azerbaijan traveling to Iran increased by 0,8%, Georgia – 25,9%, while the number of citizens traveling to Türkiye decreased by 4,2%, Russian Federation – 28,5%. 40,6% of citizens of the Republic of Azerbaijan traveled to Türkiye, 15,7% – Russian Federation, 11,2% – Georgia, 8,9% - Iran, 23,6% to other countries. 64,7% of the travelers were men and 35,3% were women. In January-July 2025, 69,8% of the citizens of the Republic of Azerbaijan who visited foreign countries used air transport, 28,2% railway and car, and 2,0% - sea transport.
