Traffic accidents occurred on the highways in January-June 2025

In January-June 2025, 577 or 15,3 % less traffic accidents occurred compared to the corresponding period of 2024, the number of victims of these events decreased by 12,8% and made 812 persons. 313 of suffered persons died and 499 of them were injured. 44,7% of accidents happened in the daytime, 41,4% - at night time, 13,9% - during twilight, 30,3% of accidents occurred on Saturdays and Sundays.

87,2% of traffic accidents happened in settlements; number of persons died as a result of these accidents decreased by 7,9% and made 223 persons compared to the corresponding period of previous year, while the number of injured persons decreased by 15,3% and made 472 persons. 

42,1% of all traffic accidents happened with participation of transport means and pedestrians, 36,9% - several transport means, 21,0% - one mode of transport. 76,7% of persons died and 70,9% of injured as a result of traffic accidents were men.
