A Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation in the field of statistics was signed between the Government of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Government of the Republic of Türkiye

Within the framework of the 14th Session of the Statistical Commission of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, held in Ankara, the capital of Türkiye, a meeting was held on October 3 at the Turkish Statistical Institute with the delegation led by the Chairman of the State Statistical Committee.

Within the framework of the meeting, a Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation in the field of statistics was signed between the Government of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Government of the Republic of Türkiye. The Memorandum was signed by Tahir Budagov, Chairman of the State Statistical Committee and Erhan Çetinkaya, President of the Turkish Statistical Institute.

It was noted that, the implementation of the activities envisaged in the Memorandum will contribute to further intensifying and strengthening bilateral cooperation in the field of official statistics, to the application of modern information and communication technologies in the statistical production process and to the mutual exchange of advanced practices in a number of statistical areas.
