A solemn ceremony to mark the 30th anniversary of the adoption of the Constitution of the Republic of Azerbaijan was held at the State Statistical Committee

A solemn ceremony to mark the 30th anniversary of the adoption of the Constitution of the Republic of Azerbaijan was held at the State Statistical Committee.

Before the event, the participants visited the bust of the National Leader of our people, Heydar Aliyev, which is located in the lobby of the Committee, and laid flowers in his honor.

The event began with a minute of silence in memory of the National Leader of the Azerbaijani people and the founder of modern Azerbaijan, Heydar Aliyev, as well as the martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the territorial integrity of our country, and the servicemen who were martyred a day earlier as a result of the crash of a military transport aircraft belonging to the Turkish Air Force. The National Anthem of the Republic of Azerbaijan was performed.

First, a documentary film dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the adoption of the Constitution of the Republic of Azerbaijan was presented.

The speakers noted that the Constitution of the independent Republic of Azerbaijan created the legal foundation for the process of building a democratic, legal, and secular state in our country and gave a strong impetus to its development. In the modern history of Azerbaijan, the restoration and strengthening of statehood traditions are associated with the name of the National Leader, Heydar Aliyev. The fundamental reforms he courageously implemented not only set our republic on the path of development, but also created conditions for drafting and adopting a new national Constitution that ensured the rule of law and paved the way for building a legal and secular state. The Constitution of the Republic of Azerbaijan, adopted in 1995, entered history as a fundamental document that forms the legal foundations of our modern statehood and legally affirms the country’s independence. Every article of this document, prepared under the direct leadership of the National Leader Heydar Aliyev, embodies his strategic vision for the future of Azerbaijan. It was emphasized that as a result of the successful domestic and foreign policy pursued by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Mr. Ilham Aliyev, all the provisions enshrined in the Constitution have been fully ensured. It was noted that, the strategic goal set by Ilham Aliyev since his election to the highest office in 2003 was to ensure the implementation of the provisions of our Supreme Law throughout the country. Through the Patriotic War and the subsequent anti-terror operation, Azerbaijan fully restored its sovereignty over its entire territory

At the end, orders and medals were presented to the employees of the Committee who were awarded for their effective work in organizing statistical activities by the decree of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Mr. Ilham Aliyev, dated 20 October 2025. The awarded employees expressed their gratitude to the Head of the state of Azerbaijan.
