Traffic accidents occurred on the highways in January-September 2025

In January-September 2025, 905 or 12,2% less traffic accidents occurred compared to the corresponding period of 2024, the number of victims of these accidents decreased by 11,9% and amounted to 1264 persons. Of them, 507 died and 757 were injured. 44,5% of the accidents occurred during the daytime, 42,6% at night, 12,49 - during twilight, 30,6% of the accidents took place on Saturdays and Sundays.

85,0% of traffic accidents occurred in settlements, the number of persons died as a result of these accidents decreased by 7,3% and made 353 persons compared to the corresponding period of the last year, while the number of injured persons decreased by 16,8% and made 708 persons.

Of all traffic accidents, 39,1 percent involved vehicles and pedestrians, 38,8 percent involved multiple vehicles, and 22,1 percent involved a single vehicle. 73,2% of persons died and 70,0% of injured as a result of traffic accidents were men.
