HLG-MOS Workshop on the Modernisation of Official Statistics is being held

The High-Level Group for the Modernisation of Official Statistics (HLG-MOS) Workshop on the Modernisation of Official Statistics, organized by the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe is taking place on 19-21 November 2025 in Geneva, Switzerland. The event is attended by Mr. Gasim Aliyev, the Head of Administration of the State Statistical Committee of the Republic of Azerbaijan. The workshop reported on the various activities carried out under HLG-MOS this year and discussed its work programme for 2026. The workshop covered sessions on advancing AI readiness for statistical products, trust and confidence in statistics, results and achievements of the HLG-MOS Modernisation Groups in 2025, their project proposals for 2026, as well as the “Soapbox” session.
