Sowing of winter crops
Mass sowing of winter grain crops for the product of 2026 is about to be completed in the country and for the state of 24th December of the current year winter crops for grain and green feed were sown in the area of 921,7 thousand hectare. 98,9% or 911,2 thousand hectare of sowing area was formed winter crops for grain; its 444,7 thousand hectare was share of wheat, 466,4-thousand-hectare barley and 0,1-thousand-hectare rye.
Most wheat plants were sown in Jalilabad (54,0 thousand ha), Fuzuli (23,2 thousand ha), Aghjabadi (18,8 thousand ha), Ismayilli and Sheki (18,7 thousand ha each), Hajigabul (15,4 thousand ha), Gobustan (13,1 thousand ha) and Shamakhi (13,0 thousand ha) districts, most barley plants were sown in Sheki (41,2 thousand ha), Kurdamir (31,7 thousand ha), Neftchala (28,8 thousand ha), Bilasuvar (24,1 thousand ha), Aghsu (18,9 thousand ha), Gobustan (17,5 thousand ha) and Fuzuli (17,0 thousand ha).
