Industrial output in January 2026

In January 2026, industrial products worth 4,7 billion manats, or 2,5 percent more compared to January of previous year, were produced by industrial enterprises and individual entrepreneurs operating in this field. The product output in the oil and gas sector increased by 1,4 percent, while in the non-oil and gas sector it increased by 8,7 percent. 56,4 percent of industrial products were produced in the mining sector, 35,2 percent in the manufacturing sector, 7,4 percent in the production, distribution and supply of electricity, gas and steam, and 1,0 percent in the sector of water supply, waste management and remediation activities. Marketable oil production in the mining sector decreased by 2,3 percent, while marketable gas production increased by 8,7 percent. In the manufacturing sector the production of pharmaceutical products increased by 2,8 times, motor vehicles, trailers and semi-trailers by 2,1 times, installation and maintenance of machinery and equipment by 92,7 percent, electrical equipment by 53,2 percent, construction materials by 39,3 percent, tobacco products by 37,4 percent, paper and cardboard by 26,1 percent, textile industry products by 20,3 percent, polygraphy products by 8,2 percent, garment production by 3,9 percent, while the production of furniture decreased by 0,3 percent, food products by 0,6 percent, metallurgical industrial products by 3,9 percent, beverages by 6,4 percent, leather and leather products, including footwear by 6,7 percent, rubber and plastic products by 6,7 percent, computers, electronic and optical products by 6,7 percent, production of machinery and equipment by 10,8 percent, oil products by 16,4 percent, chemical industrial products by 21,2 percent, wood processing and production of wood products by 26,7 percent, fabricated metal products by 28,5 percent. Production volume in the sector of electricity, gas and steam production, distribution and supply decreased by 2,9 percent, while in the sector of water supply, waste management and remediation activities it decreased by 5,7 percent.
