Changes in prices of consumer market
Consumer price index in January 2026 compared to January 2025 became 105,7%, including food products, beverages and tobacco products 107,1%, non-food products 103,5% and paid services provided to population 105,6%.

In January 2026, consumer price index for food products, beverages and tobacco products became 101,3% in comparison with the previous month.
In January of the current year compared to the previous month, more increase was observed in prices of several food products such as macaroni products, oatmeal, sausage products, fish and fish products, milk, yoghurt, cheese, curd, cottage cheese, egg, tangerine, banana, apple, pear, date, kiwi, walnut, hazelnut, greens, cucumber, tomato, sweet pepper, pumpkin, eggplant, garlic, potato, chocolate products, vodka, cognac, wine, cigarettes, while the decrease was observed in the prices of round rice, orange, white cabbage, table beet, carrot, tomato paste. No significant changes were observed in prices of other food products.
In January 2026, consumer price index for non-food products made 101,3% compared to the previous month. In January compared to the previous month, more increase in prices of non-food products was mainly observed in the prices of fabrics, wallpapers, plastic windows, laminate parquet, cement, table and seating furniture, carpets, heating units for heating systems, small electrical appliances, "AI-92" gasoline, diesel, engine oil, mobile phones, newspapers, jewelry, while decrease was observed in prices of cut wood, refrigerators, air conditioners, tablets. No significant changes were observed in prices of other non-food products.
In January 2026, consumer price index for paid services provided to population was 101,9% compared to the previous month. In January compared to the previous month, increasing in prices of paid services provided to population was mainly observed in the prices of electricity and natural gas supply, medical and dental services, taxi services, hairdressing services, and catering services provided by restaurants and cafes, while decreasing was observed in prices of goods delivery and international passenger transportation services by air transport. No significant changes were observed in prices of other paid services.
