The delegation of the State Statistical Committee participates in the 74th plenary session of the Conference of European Statisticians

The 74th plenary session of the Conference of European Statisticians (CES) of the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE) is being held in Geneva, Switzerland, from 24 to 26 June 2026.

The Republic of Azerbaijan is represented at the session by a delegation led by Mr. Azer Mursagulov, Chairman of the State Statistical Committee. The agenda of the session includes discussions on the integration of statistical and geospatial information, measuring migration and human mobility, the impact of societal and technological transformations on fundamentals of official statistics, as well as current challenges in the development of statistical activities and possible approaches to addressing them. In the framework of the session, the delegation of the State Statistical Committee is also scheduled to hold bilateral meetings with representatives of the national statistical offices of several countries and international organizations.
