Distribution of natural gas in January-June 2026

Taking into account resources for the beginning of the current year the volume of marketable natural gas resources in January-June 2026 made 22258,9 million cubic meters. Of the natural gas resources, 29.2% was consumed domestically, 60.1% was exported, 2.5% was lost, while 8.2% remained in stock as of the beginning of July.

56,8% of natural gas consumed domestically was used for production needs and 43,2% was sold to population.

Of the natural gas consumed by population, 36,8% was per the share of Baku city, 3,1% - Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, 11,8% - Absheron-Khizi, 6,2% - Ganja-Dashkesen, 5,9% - Gazakh-Tovuz, 5,8% - Lankaran-Astara, 5,6% Central Aran, 5,5% - Shaki-Zagatala, 5,1% - Guba-Khachmaz, 4,7% - Karabakh, 3,6% each Mil-Mughan and Shirvan-Salyan, 2,4% - Daghlig Shirvan and 0,1% East Zangazur economic regions.
